Our cabinets are designed with a recessed leg (2in) in front to provide a comfortable foot recess when standing at the counter: ![](https://resources.matchlesscabinet.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-19-2026-10-39-25-4671-PM.png?width=670&height=449&name=image-png-Oct-19-2026-10-39-25-4671-PM.png) By default, our cabinets feature four open legs. For a more finished look, you may configure with toekick panels to enclose the front, rear, and side profiles as necessary: ![](https://resources.matchlesscabinet.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-19-2026-10-41-25-4404-PM.png?width=670&height=449&name=image-png-Oct-19-2026-10-41-25-4404-PM.png) There are a few options, depending on cabinet style, as detailed below.  ### Patio Line Cabinets These cabinets feature the toekick recess on front and rear of the cabinet, as visible in this side profile: ![](https://resources.matchlesscabinet.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-19-2026-10-52-36-6388-PM.png?width=670&height=707&name=image-png-Oct-19-2026-10-52-36-6388-PM.png) You may optionally purchase front covers for the front and/or rear profiles. For this scenario, we can fabricate customized toekick extensions to close the gaps.
