Many freestanding and tabletop griddles can be made to work in a semi-built in fashion by using our Tabletop Griddle Insert with the Grill Cabinet - Patio Line.
This article details how to make sure your griddle can fit.
The guidance in this article applies to the Fusion Grill Cart and Ignite Grill Cart as well.

Tabletop Griddle Insert
The Tabletop Griddle Insert is not intended for use with built-in griddles.
Note that certain griddles, installed with our Tabletop Griddle Insert may require a longer gas / propane hose and regulator than is provided with the griddle. Please consult your griddle's product manual for specific details on gas and propane hookups.
The insert works with both Matchless Cabinet countertops, or your own, sliding over the countertop and into the opening for the grill. It creates internal walls and a lowered surface for your griddle to sit on at a more natural height for cooking.
The insert will always be made in the maximum width and depth of the cabinet's cutout dimensions, but the height can be varied up to the maximum cutout height in the cabinet.

Griddle Insert "Drop" (inside height)
This measurement indicates how far below the counter height your griddle will be positioned. We offer several standard sizes for your convenience, but this distance can be adjusted based on the maximum cutout height allowed in your cabinet.
Installing the insert
Will my griddle work?
Most standalone griddles are packaged with a stand, side shelves, and other accessories.
To determine if your griddle will work, you need to measure the base unit without these components installed.
For example, the Halo Elite 3B:
When removed from its base and with the side shelves removed, the following measurements are used to determine fit.
You must include any rear grease trap in the unit's depth dimension.
Halo Griddles
All Halo Elite griddles work with an 8" drop measurement and will show as a standard selection for any products which fit.
The Halo Elite 2B, 3B and 4B will work in various Matchless Cabinet products. The table below details compatibility for each based on the griddle insert sizing in this chart.

The front controls of any of the Halo Elite models will protrude out from the cabinet face some, but all 4 legs will securely rest on the griddle insert.

Blackstone Griddles
Blackstone makes a variety of griddles, many of which can be converted to use in Matchless Cabinet products. However, we cannot ensure compatibility with all models and it is important to take accurate measurements and understand the limitations here in making a determination on fit.
The below details some of the well known models from Blackstone and fit with Matchless Cabinet products.
Keep in mind that some Blackstone models are marketed as "36 inch" which refers to the cooking surface width, and the unit's actual chassis may measure wider. Always measure your unit per this guide and contact us if unsure.
Blackstone Premium Built In Griddle with Hood - 28in and 36in
If using one of these two models, Blackstone sells with and without an insulated liner. The insulated liner model is not compatible with our products. Instead, use our Tabletop Griddle Insert.
These griddles work with a 7.5" drop and will show as a standard option with any products that fit.
The Blackstone Premium Built In griddles will work in various Matchless Cabinet products. The table below details compatibility for each based on the griddle insert sizing in this chart.

Blackstone - Other Models
Blackstone manufactures a variety of griddles with different features and form factors. For best compatibility, we recommend using one of their "original" model griddles, such as this Model 2122:

Incompatible Models
Certain models may have features that are incompatible, such as an integrated hood that, when upright, would not clear the cabinet or cart's countertop:
This particular model would not work, as the hood would not clear the countertop opening.
