The powder coating process is done by an electrostatic application of a dry powder, settled into place via application of heat.
The result is a durable, thick finish that is magnitudes harder than common paints. Additionally, it only requires a single coat which makes for easy application and allows for custom textured finishes otherwise not possible with paint.
This process is also much more environmentally friendly, producing minimal volatile organic compounds.
